Concrete Laberor

Job Description 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

​

  • Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials.

  • Preparing worksite such as unloading and placing equipment.

  • Operate a variety of equipment, which includes, jackhammers, plate tampers, concrete mortar/mixers, electric/hydraulic machines, and chainsaw/quickie saws.

  • Assist in jackhammering concrete and pouring concrete.

  • Caring for company tools/equipment/machines.

  • Keeps job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.

  • Ability to use or learn how to use different hand and power tools.

  • Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.

  • Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Concrete Laborer position.

  • Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed.

  • Dependable, Reliable, Punctual, & Self Motivated.

 

Workdays & Shifts:

​

  • Normal working hours are from 7am – 4pm

  • Must also be available to work varied shifts depending on job requirements such as and not limited to days, nights and weekends.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime when required.

  • The ability to travel for extended periods of time.

​

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

​

  • Valid driver's license - Required.

  • No misdemeanor or felony driving offenses within the last three years.

​

Experience & Knowledge:

​

  • Prior experience working as a Laborer in the concrete industry or other relevant experience – Preferred.

​

Other Requirements:

​

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.
